Hello, it’s nice to meet you!
I’m Noelia; Spanish teacher, therapist, entrepreneur and artist.
I am a dreamer and an innate creator. I consider myself a multifaceted person and a lover of life.
Spanish is my native language, and I have been teaching Spanish since 2004. I am also a graduate of the Instituto Cervantes. In 2000 I graduated as a psychologist and have developed expertise in body therapies. I have created and developed three companies of my own and have several artistic passions, mainly in theater and painting.
Let me share a little more about me:
I have fun teaching and have a deep love for teaching my language and culture.
I opened the first Colibrí Spanish language school in 2004 and in May 2018 Colibrí closed its doors due to the sociopolitical crisis in Nicaragua. I lived in Costa Rica between 2018 and 2020.
In 2021 I moved with my family to the Netherlands and obtained a diploma from the Instituto Cervantes. In 2021 I registered the Colibrí Spanish language school in the Netherlands as a freelancer.
In 2023 I took the first steps towards opening the Colibri Spanish School in Costa Rica. Simultaneously the plan to open the Colibrí Spanish School in Matagalpa, Nicaragua in collaboration with the Estación Biológica Agualí developed.
As a facilitator of inner healing processes I consider that:
“A therapeutic technique has value in me when it belongs to me. That happens more fully when I can apply to other people what I have experienced in my own body and have collaborated in my own personal healing process, then, not only do I know this technique, it also belongs to me”.
Every exercise I use I know from my own lived experience. I am a facilitator of processes I learned and know through my own personal healing. As well as studying and working with group processes for more than 20 years, I continue to train every day in the art of understanding the language of my body and delving into my emotions.
My professional training:
Group therapies are my thing. I studied bio energetic therapy based on the theoretical current of A. Lowen and W. Reich. I trained as a Biodanza (Life Dance) facilitator and in play-pedagogy.
I love working with groups and putting my knowledge at the service of personal healing.
I inherited my entrepreneurial spirit from my grandmothers. When I connect with my entrepreneurial self I feel it in my guts, it comes from the core of my being.
I founded the Colibrí Spanish School in 2004, and the school became my “university” as an entrepreneur.
In 2006 I opened an arts and crafts store. I satisfied my love for handicrafts by visiting and buying directly from artisans and craftsmen.
In 2014 I founded Colibrí Transformational Travel. Offering educational and socio-cultural immersion trips, receiving visitors from abroad to learn about our culture and people became passions for me.
